Elizabeth Fields is a singer, songwriter, guitarist, pianist, session vocalist and musical director.
Having played in bands and performed as a solo artist, Elizabeth Fields has developed a definitive style, that many have compared to the likes of Kate Bush, the Average White Band, The Chili Pepper’s and Norah Jones to name but a few, however Elizabeth has still managed to maintained a unique and individual quality to her music that is all her own.
Think… Jazz/Funk/Blues/Rock/Folk/Dance/Trance and you’ll be somewhere close.
Elizabeth Fields has worked on several collaborations and ‘Speak in Sympathy’, was released to much critical acclaim in 2002. It was single of the week on “Kiss F.M.” (London) and reached No. 3 in the FM charts in Jerusalem and No. 8 in Denmark and Sweden. It has appeared on five plus compilation albums (including "Lost Language" – Various Artists, "Surviving the Chills" by DJ Stigma and Elusive, and "Destinations" by Solarstone featuring Elizabeth Fields). It has had considerable Radio 1 airplay.
Following the success of ‘Speak in Sympathy,’ Solarstone and Elizabeth Fields co-wrote the vocals for one of Solarstone's single’s called "Seven Cities", which reached No. 44 in the UK Gallop charts in the UK, No. 2 in our Dance charts and No. 2 in the World Trance charts, in the Summer of 2002. Seven Cities made record of the week in Sureplay DJ magazine. Both songs were enjoyed by more than 36, 000 people at the God's Kitchen Festival in Stratford that year.
Meanwhile, at the time Elizabeth Fields was also playing her own funky/jazz material in the bands, ‘Morello’, and ‘Brotha Sista’.
(Big thanks and love to all involved).
Watch this space! Brotha Sista may still make future appearances.
Morello/Brotha Sista enjoyed a number of excellent gigs including, Ronnie Scott's in Birmingham, The Trumpet Jazz Bar in Bilston, JB's Dudley, Junction 10, Katie Fitzgerald's, the Robin 1 & Robin 2 Wolves, Owen's Wine Bar Shrewsbury and the Malthouse in Ironbridge. We were asked to play at the Brecon Jazz Festival in Wales and the Ludlow Music Festival. After being awarded a studio recording session for winning the semi finals of Battle of the Bands at the Robin 1, a five track EP was recorded with Morello.
